DBE IN LOUISIANA
A British and Commonwealth Women's Organization
We hold events to raise funds for Homes for Seniors, and for other charities in our area, and have fun doing it! We have been serving seniors across the US since 1915.

We socialize at monthly meetings and other events to chat and catch up on news, with a cuppa or a glass of wine.
​
We are in 30 different states across the US, and meet in District Meetings and National Meetings, to get to know DBEs from other states and exchange ideas.
​
We have DBE sisters across the country!

What Do We Do?
On January 8th, the 210th anniversary of the Battle of New Orleans was commemorated at the Chalmette Battlefield. Jane Caruso and Betty Calzada represented the DBE and laid wreaths. Betty Calzada spoke on behalf of the British dead. See her remarks.
