Yorkshire Pudding

Back to basics, with Yorkshire Pudding, the traditional British accompaniment to roast beef.  In this recipe, it is made in individual portions.

3/4 cup presifted AP flour

1/2 tsp salt

3 eggs

3/4 cup lowfat milk

1/2 cup beef drippings (for taste) or oil (for a healthier version)

Preheat oven to 450*

​

Sift salt an flour in bowl and make space in the centre of the bowl and break the eggs in it.  Pour milk into it.

​

Beat all ingredients until the batter is smooth.

​

Pour little of beef drippings/oil into muffin cups.  Pour batter in, filling them about 3/4 full.

​

Bake 20 minutes.

​
